Brazilian wood packaging materials new regulations

Dear customer, hello,

In September 2015, the Brazilian agricultural authorities announced new regulations for wood packaging materials. In the future, all cargoes entering and leaving the Brazilian port, and those with wooden packaging materials in the container, must declare the relevant details of the wooden materials.

From now on, please indicate in your shipping order (instruction) which of the following categories of wood packaging contained in your checked container:

Wooden Package Processed: processed wood packaging:

The packaging material is processed wood, a wood derivation made of fine wood carving plates.

Wooden Package Treated and Certified (treated/smoked and certified wood packaging):

The packaging material has been treated and/or fumigated, and with a certificate.

Wooden Package Non-Treated and Non-Certified: Untreated/smoked and uncertified wood packaging:

The packaging material has not been treated nor fumigated, and without a certificate.
